World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5th to raise awareness and encourage action for environmental protection. It's the United Nations' principal platform for promoting environmental outreach and is observed in over 150 countries. The day is led by the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). In 2025, the theme is "Beat Plastic Pollution", focusing on solutions to end plastic pollution.

 World Food Safety Day, observed annually on June 7th, highlights the critical role of safe food in maintaining human health and well-being. It's a day to raise awareness about the importance of food safety practices across the entire food chain, from production to consumption. This year's theme, "Food Safety: Science in Action," emphasizes the role of scientific knowledge and innovation in ensuring food safety and preventing foodborne illnesses. 

 The first day of kindergarten is a big milestone, filled with both excitement and nervousness for children, parents, and teachers alike. To make the transition smooth and enjoyable, teachers can implement welcoming activities, establish routines, and focus on creating a positive and engaging learning environment. 

 On 21 June 2025, millions of people around the world came together to celebrate the 11th United Nations' International Day of Yoga, embracing the theme “Yoga for One Earth, One Health.”

 International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is observed annually on June 26th. The United Nations observes this day to raise awareness about the global drug problem and to mobilize efforts in combating drug abuse and illicit trafficking. The date commemorates the dismantling of the opium trade in Humen, China, by Lin Zexu, which ended just before the First Opium War. The day was instituted by the UN General Assembly in 1987.
